The practice has both the experience and equipment to provide routine and more extensive dental work.
Dental treatment in horses has developed hugely in recent years with the understanding and treatment of a wide range of conditions improving markedly. Careful and thorough examination of the teeth has become as important as selecting and administering the correct treatment. Vets are the only professionals able to administer sedative drugs and this greatly facilitates a wide range of treatments especially in fractious and unco-operative patients.
The practice is well equipped with a range of specialist equipment to perform basic and advanced dentistry from removal of sharp enamel points, overgrowths, diastema (gap) widening, dental endoscopy and the removal of diseased or damaged teeth using the most up to date minimally invasive techniques. We also have the support of visiting veterinary dental speacialists for restorative and periodontal treatments.
Please feel free to ring and discuss any dental issues with any of our vets.
