NOVEMBER COVID UPDATE
During the current restrictions we are continuing to provide a full service in and out of clinic. We continue to take careful measures to reduce the risks of Covid spread by wearing PPE, maintaining social distancing and reducing non essential journeys. Please contact the clinic for further information.
JULY 16TH COVID-19 UPDATE.
From the 12th May we are able to perform all normal services such as vettings, teeth and routine vaccinations provided social distancing measures can be maintained. This may mean we have to change the manner in which we approach the treatment of your horse. However we are finding that most horses tolerate the new way of working very well. Some procedures are more easily performed at the clinic whereas other can safely and easily be performed at your yard.
We are taking strict measures to ensure social distancing and minimise the chances of spreading Covid-19; including the use of single use PPE, disinfection of equipment and footwear between yards, and also planning treatments ahead of visits to limit contact time.
Please contact us in advance of a required visit to discuss how we can help.
APRIL 14TH COVID-19 UPDATE
From April 14th Cinder Hill will be following the latest advice from the British Equine Veterinary Association and subject to strict social distancing will be undertaking a wider range of work in order to protect equine welfare over a more prolonged ‘lockdown’ period.
In particular we will be performing some vaccinations when these are required and can be performed safely with minimal risk including:
• 1st vaccinations
• 2nd vaccinations (21-92 days after 1st)
• 3rd vaccinations of the primary course course (150-215 days after 2nd)
• Annual Booster vaccinations if due in the next month
• Vaccinations of mares in foal
In line with our previous advice strict social distancing rules will apply. For all vaccination visits the following will be required:
All other work will be considered on a case by case basis, strictly following RCVS guidance. Please call us to discuss this with our vets.
Payments must be made on the day of the appointment by phone or online.
