The practice has both the experience and equipment to provide routine and more extensive dental work.
Dental treatment in horses has developed hugely in recent years with the understanding and treatment of a wide range of conditions improving markedly. Careful and thorough examination of the teeth has become as important as selecting and administering the correct treatment. Vets are the only professionals able to administer sedative drugs and this greatly facilitates a wide range of treatments especially in fractious and unco-operative patients.
The practice is well equipped with a range of hand and motorised equipment to perform basic and advanced dentistry from removal of sharp enamel points, overgrowths, diastema (gap) widening and the removal of diseased or damaged teeth.
Please feel free to ring and discuss any dental issues with any of our vets.
