Since qualifying at Edinburgh, Chris has been in practice since 1968 in Gloucestershire and Australia. He founded Cinder Hill in 1996. He was brought up with horses and has ridden over 250 point to points and National Hunt races. Chris has horses at home and both his children are avid riders.
Mike Barrott BVSc, CertEP, MRCVS (Director)
Mike qualified in 1994 at Bristol University and has worked solely with horses since 1998. He undertook further qualifications and became a holder of the Certificate of Equine Practice in 2001. Mike has a special interest in the medical and surgical in-patients and dental treatment.Mike grew up in West Sussex in an equestrian family. Having lived and practiced in other parts of the country, he has now settled in Danehill with his young family.
Deborah Pett BSc(Hons) MA VetMB MRCVS
Debs qualified in 2000 at Cambridge and joined Cinder Hill in 2002 after working on the Isle of Wight for 2 years. Debs has since taken a sabbatical in Sydney, Australia for 18 months in a 'racetrack' practice. Here she gained valuable experience in anaesthesia and poor performance cases. Debs returned to Cinder Hill in 2007 and her special interests include wound management, anaesthesia and ophthalmology. Debs lives locally with her husband, Adam.Daniel Carroll MA VetMB MRCVS
Dan was brought up in Old Surrey country and was a regular, both eventing and on the hunting field. Dan qualified at Cambridge in 1999 and started his career in a mixed practice in Worcestershire. He then spent 3 years in a racing based practice in Lambourn working in both flat and jumping yards before moving to Bushey Equine – a large referral practice in Gloucestershire. Dan has particular interests in lameness diagnosis and internal medicine. Dan has returned to Sussex with his young family.Kat Bunker BVSc MRCVS
Kat grew up in Lindfield and qualified from Liverpool in 2006. She has worked with horses since graduation: completing a 13 month internship within the busy Leahurst Equine Hospital before moving to Hampshire to work in a first opinion Equine practice. In 2010 she covered Debs’ 6 month maternity leave before accepting a full-time position in the team in 2011. Kat has particular interests in medicine cases and anaesthesia. She is currently studying for her certificate in Internal Medicine. In her spare time Kat rides and competes her horse, Billy.
